Please join MES for a field day at Caribou Bog Conservation Area in Orono on September 6th 2025.
We will gather at the Outdoor Center at 10:00am. There are several trails that lead through or near a variety of habitats, including ponds, oak and maple forests, and mixed conifer forests. Ticks are present here, so protective clothing and insect repellant is advised. A summer trail map for the conservation area can be found here.
MES has permission to collect specimens, so bring your collecting equipment or photography gear. Also pack lunch or snacks, and water!
There are no restroom facilities at this location, so please plan accordingly.
Please RSVP to Chase Gagne at chasegagne@msn.com or 603-660-8631 if you plan to attend.
